404 — Resource not found

404 Not Found

/v1/*: { "error": { "type": "not_found", "message": "Adresse ikke fundet", "code": 404 } } — the text depends on the resource (e.g. "Adgangsadresse ikke fundet"). An unknown path gives "Endpoint findes ikke. Se docs på https://danskadresseapi.dk/docs".

/dawa/*: { "type": "ResourceNotFoundError", "title": "The resource was not found", "details": { "id": "…" } }

Common causes:

  1. Wrong/unknown DAR id (address UUID). Verify the id with a search: /v1/adresser?q=….
  2. Discontinued (henlagt) address. Only current/active addresses are returned — discontinued ones give 404 (as in DAWA).
  3. Wrong path. Check you use /v1/adresser/{id} or /dawa/adresser/{id}.
Bash
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer <key>" \
  "https://api.danskadresseapi.dk/v1/adresser?q=rådhuspladsen%201%20københavn&per_side=5"
An invalid id format (e.g. a non-UUID on an {id} path) gives a 400 on /v1 (invalid_request, "Ugyldige parametre"). On /dawa it gives ResourcePathFormatError — also with status 404, but a different type.
