Why is a field empty? (source data)

Empty fields
Some fields can be null/empty because the source data doesn't contain them for that specific address — not because of an error:
- Supplementary city name (supplerende bynavn) — only exists for some addresses.
- Certain access-point details (e.g. text orientation, road point, height) — a source isn't always available.
- Cadastral/ejerlav-related fields — parts have a data ceiling (e.g. no full cadastre join), so a field can be empty.
How to handle it:
- Build your integration robustly — assume optional fields may be missing.
- If you need BBR, add
?include=bbron/dawa/adresser/{id}or/dawa/adgangsadresser/{id}(also works on/v1). The DAGI fields are already in the DAWA response. - If a field that should exist is consistently empty across many addresses, contact support with a few example ids.
Core address fields (street, house no., postal code, city, coordinates) are always populated for current addresses.
