Integration, SDK and AI tools

Once you have a key, you can call the API from anything that can make HTTP requests.

• Direct HTTP — send your key in the Authorization header. See examples in the documentation.
• Playground → code — build the call in the [Playground](playground) and copy it as cURL or a code example.
• DAWA compatibility — still calling DAWA (api.dataforsyningen.dk)? DAWA closes on 1 October 2026. Change the base URL to https://api.danskadresseapi.dk/dawa and send your key (as an Authorization header or ?token=) — the calls and responses themselves are the same as in DAWA. See the DAWA guide in the documentation.
• MCP server — use DanskAdresseAPI directly from AI tools like Claude and Cursor via the official MCP server.
