Webhooks: receive events in real time

1 min read

Webhooks automatically send a message to your server when something happens — so you don't have to keep polling the API. Webhooks require Pro or higher.

Create a webhook

  1. Go to Webhooks and click Add webhook.
  2. Enter your URL — it must be HTTPS (e.g. https://din-app.dk/webhooks/addr).
  3. Choose the events you want to receive, for example:
  • address.created — a new address was created
  • address.updated — an address was changed
  • address.deleted — an address was removed
  • vej.updated — a street changed
  • postnummer.updated — a postcode changed

There are also events for units, BBR, DAGI, quota, subscription and billing.

  1. Save. Copy the webhook secret that is shown — it's shown only this once. Then send a test event with Send test in the delivery log to see that it works.

Security and reliability

  • Each message is signed (HMAC-SHA256 in the X-Addr-Signature header) so you can verify it came from us. See [Verify a webhook](webhook-verificering).
  • If your server doesn't respond with 2xx, we retry automatically up to 8 times at increasing intervals.
  • If a webhook keeps failing, we disable it and let you know. You re-enable it in the webhook list by clicking Auto-disabled.
Use Send test and the delivery log to debug your receiver.
