Reduce your usage
1 min read
Want to stay under your quota — or just use the API more efficiently? Try these:
- Cache responses that don't change often. For example, store a lookup in your own database and only re-fetch when needed.
- Use batch endpoints if you're on Pro or Enterprise. A batch call with up to 100 lookups counts as one call, so it saves both quota and network overhead.
- Avoid double calls from the frontend — debounce your autocomplete fields so you don't send a call per keystroke.
- Fetch only what you need — skip extra data (e.g. enrichments) you don't use.
Check Usage per key to see where most calls come from — it often points to where there's most to save.
